What happened to the Cavaliers?
So this is the story everybody knows- The Cavs got a hold of LeBron James, hometown hero, traded away No.1 pick Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota for All-Star Kevin Love. This was going to be amazing with a big three consisting of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and LeBron (plus Anderson Varejao, kinda...). Everybody made Cleveland the pick to win the East and head to the finals. But it didn't work out, David Blatt, the new European coach, had to face incredible difficulty in trying to become the coach of a team with LeBron James, and Kyrie in it. But he cannot communicate with the All-Stars because of their mindset which is "I'm the best on the team, coach hasn't got nothing on me, I'M the leader..". Coach Blatt is still a rookie coach from Europe and is far too scared to do anything. Blatt also started over hustling the players, because he coached in Europe and had absolute control over anything, he is not used to this. Anderson Varejao also tore his Achilles and he is out for the season, taking away a very strong, emotional, leader-player. Those are some of the problems they had early on in the season. But yesterday something incredible happened, the Detroit Pistons, yes, the DETROIT 'TANK-A-LOT' PISTONS beat the Cavs. Beat the Cavs by 23 points that is. Beaten by 23 in their own arena, in front of all the people who suffered when a star player mentioned he was going to South Beach, they lost by 23. Th Cavs split their last 10 games 5-5 and keep going farther behind my Chicago Bulls in the East standings. Hopefully they will find a way to win and to get the team back together, but as of now, they are definitely not an elite team.

Christmas Day Scores...
It's been two days and these are the Christmas scores.
Wizards: 102 Knicks: 91-It was a good game with John Wall notching 24 points and 11 assists. But Wall got in a fight with Quincy Acy and was fined $15,000, Acy has been suspended. Carmelo Anthony was the only high point for the extremely lowly Knicks, he had 34 points. The Knicks were supposed to be good with Carmelo and Amar'e and Phil Jackson stepping in but they are in the conversation with the Sixers for the worst team, except the 76ers are getting better and the Knicks are getting worse.
Thunder: 114 Spurs: 106- Russell Westbrook is just so good it's impossible to contain him even Gregg Popovich couldn't come up with anything. Once Russell and Kevin get fully healthy they will be the most dangerous 8th seed ever.
Heat: 101 Cavs: 91- LeBron James' game in his old stadium started out good but the Heat were the better prepared team, Dwyane Wade having 31 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists. Cavs move even further behind the Bulls.
Bulls: 113 Lakers: 93- Your guns go 'boom, boom' and my guns go 'Pau, Pau' and Pau Gasol scored 23 and notched 13 rebounds along side Jimmy 'Buckets' Butler's 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Derrick Rose also scored 20 with 6 assists, and his buddy Joakim Noah scored only 4 points but had 12 rebounds. The Lakers did not play Kobe but they did play former Mizzou player Jordan Clarkeson who was awesome last year for Mizzou, congrats on making it to the NBA. Clarkeson missed a layup but he'll make up for that this season I'm sure.
Clippers: 100 Warriors: 86- The Warriors held a lead throughout the first half but the Clip's re-energized after the half and set the tone with 32 points in the 3rd and holding the Warriors to just 16 in the 4th after, they won and Jamaal Crawford had 24 points, and 7 assists.

CHICAGOOOO!
The Bulls went against the Raptors and Butler and Rose came out strong. Rose accelerated in the fourth quarter using a nifty jumper and a strong floater from his arsenal of moves. He had a total of 29 points and 3 assists. But Kyle Lowry remained as the leader having 34 points in the game and helped the Rap's to a 37 point fourth quarter which is impressive but the Bulls are more impressive. The Bulls had 49 points in the fourth most since a game in 1993. Noah, Butler and Rose each scored a lot in the fourth Butler leading the way with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocks. And some people still say he is a role-player and cannot carry a team or is in the Top-13 (Sir Charles Barkley, my Dad). That's okay because in the words of Butler's future girlfriend Taylor Swift "Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate" Bulls: 129, Raptors: 120.
STATUS ALERT- Kawhi Leonard after missing 4 games with the worst case of pink eye ever in NBA History, hurt his hand, got it checked by a doctor that looked at hands for 40 years saying he never saw anything like it. But he is probably just talking about the massive size of Kawhi's hands, biggest in the game, that he has never seen anything like it. Kawhi's friends say he only hurt it, and Kawhi wants to play on Christmas day, but we never know with Coach Pop, he is the person that will decide. Pop might not want to play him because he probably wants to make sure his hands feel better by the time he holds the Finals MVP award again and slips on another NBA Championship Ring.

In Jimmy Buckets We Trust
Jimmy Butler scored a career-high 35 points against the Knicks on Thursday, adding to his breakout All-Star season. Jimmy Butler has been my favorite player to watch on my favorite team. He has consistently been a reliable, friendly, good player. His strengths include his ability to drive into the lane and either make the shot, get a foul-which then goes into 2 easy free-throws he makes, or he attracts defenders into the lane which secures a 3-point look available for Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks, or Mike Dunleavy depending on who is on the court. Butler is averaging 22 ppg, 3 ast, 6 reb through this season and is striving to become a better player than the always sidelined Derrick Rose. Some people do not agree that Jimmy Butler is a building block- reliable player, like Charles Barkley who said that Butler is still a role player for the Bulls, and my Dad who does not want to admit that Butler is in the top-13 best players in the NBA and that we should trust him.On Friday however Jimmy Buckets slapped Sir Charles and my Dad in the face because he killed the at home Grizzlies, and the Grizzlies are extremely hard to beat with their awesome Memphis crowd. Jimmy Butler lit up for 31 points and 10 rebounds, his main man Nikola "Threekola" Mirotic hit 6 3-point shots in the game too, Mirotic has been a great player coming from Europe. Coach Tom Thibodeau is loving all of it too saying "Just thank God for Jimmy Butler," "You can't say enough about him," Thibodeau said. "What he does, he hits
big shots, plays defense, gets to the line, makes plays, plays
unselfishly, plays hard, doesn't take any possessions off. He's just
having a phenomenal year." and "The best leadership you could have is by doing all the right things.
You can't put any more into it than what he's putting into it right
now." that reporting done by ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell. He also likes Nikola saying "He's not afraid,He makes tough plays. He hustles all
the time. He's never satisfied, and I love that about him." after he hit those 6 3's. Jimmy Butler has also stated that he likes Taylor Swift and would very much like a date after reporter Sean Highkin asked him saying "If you want to date someone, come to Chicago and date yours truly.". Jimmy Butler is doing everything right, please, please, please pay him more Mr. General Manager, please don't let him go.
NCAAM fix for the weekend...
I will try to post an college basketball fix every Saturday or Sunday if there is a suitable amount of good college teams playing.
Number 1 Kentucky crushed UCLA too, the relentless Kentucky defense held UCLA to 7 points in the first half. 7 POINTS! UCLA isn't a bad basketball team either, the Wildcats are just that good at defense. Their offense was in the groove too scoring 41 in the first half and started out on a 24-0 run. This is very scary for other basketball teams to think of, a team executing on both sides, and both sides with elite measures. Kentucky was lead by Devin Booker coming off the bench with 19 points, and Aaron Harrison with 15 pts, 2 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl. UCLA highest scorer was Isaac Hamilton with 14 points. UCLA shot 19-71 the whole game and only had 4 free-throw shots, showing how disciplined the Wildcats are. 1 Kentucky: 83 UCLA: 44.
The 24th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels took on the 12th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes today and Brice Johnson carried the Tar Heels with 18 pts, 9 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk, he was also helped by Marcus Paige who had 16 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast. The Buckeyes came up short but Marc Loving 19 points and 4 rebounds, Sam Thompson also had 17 pts, 4 reb, and one dish. 24 North Carolina: 82, 12 Ohio State: 74.

NBA Alert: Jabari Parker to miss rest of season.
Jabari Parker, the highly anticipated and exciting player is going to miss the rest of the seaon because he tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee at Phoenix. The Bucks were doing very good this year and are just a few wins away from beating their total for last NBA season. Parker was teaming up with Giannis Antetokounmpo to form the youngest duo with the highest ceiling in the NBA. The ACL injury is the same Derrick Rose suffered a few years back and until recently, Rose has not been the same as the pre-injury Derrick Rose we all marveled at. Parker is also a Chicago native, like Rose, and looked up to the pre-injury MVP Rose while at Simeon High School, the same high school Derrick went to. This is horrible news for the Bucks organization, fans, and the whole NBA becasue the NBA lost the primary Rookie Of the Year candidate and the NBA also lost a big part of a franchise that was slowly and happily coming back together. I think it is horrible that the Bucks fans have to go through the Rose ACL saga the Bulls suffered, and the Bucks are practically the Bulls' neighbors living only 1 hour and 39 minutes away, stadium to stadium. This is a very big loss.

Grizzzz...
The Grizzlies won an OT thriller over the 76ers, and Mike Conley led the way with an astounding 36 pts, 3 reb, 9 ast. Zach Randolph had 28 points, and Courtney Lee had 19. the Griz have been one of the best teams this year, mostly producing off their starters, the bench only had 21 points of the total 120. That discovers their weakness, the bench is not as deep as they want it to be. They will not survive if a smart team takes advantage and gets fouls out of Randolph and Gasol, nobody will excell in their place. Michael Carter-Williams also notched another triple-double for the Sixers with 16 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds. He and Hollis Thompson were the best players for the Sixers yesterday. Grizzlies: 120 76ers: 115
The Bucks ousted the Clippers with a great combined effort from our buddy Giannis Antetokounmpo(20 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk), Brandon Knight(22 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast), Larry Sanders (15 pts, 9 reb, 1 ast) and Jabari Parker (12 pts, 5 reb). The Bucks are so close to tying the total wins they had in all of last season, that's how much better they got. That is mostly all thanks to General Manager John Hammond, and coach Jason Kidd who are doing an outstanding jobs making a long rebuilding process look fun with the young happy spirits of Giannis and Jabari, adding to the lovable vets that are on the team. If any team needs to rebuild and wants the fan base and media to keep supporting, do it the Bucks way. Fear The Deer. Bucks: 111 Clippers: 106

Bulls V Blazers..
The Bulls are beating the Blazers and the bulls are winning 110-104 whil I am writing this. Derrick Rose has 31 points tonight, that is his season high and for the first time in what seems like forever, he is showing signs of old D-Rose in 2 straight games. Lillard and Aldridge are also being very productive. Lillard has 33 right now an Aldridge has 35 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk as of now. A very good performance. The Bulls have just won, D-Rose and Lillard battled hard, it was a very good game. The big difference was the amount of free-throws the Bulls made 22 of 28 and the Blazers had only 8 of 11.

Top 13 Players after the first month...
13: Jimmy Butler- The Chicago Bulls SG has been the man for Chi-town scoring 21.6 ppg, 5.6 reb, 3.5 ast, 1.4 stl and is on track to be an All-Star this season. He is very god at driving to the basket, either scoring or making the free-throws after a foul, because you can't stop him. He is too fast, strong and athletic. I talk about him a lot so look at my older articles for mor on Jimmy "G." Buckets Butler (the 'G' stands for 'gets').
12: Damian Lillard- D- Lill' is the PG for the Blazers and is a deadly weapon. He is a sturdy, fast guard who can shoot very well. He hit a 3 pointer with 0.3 second left to make it to the second round of the playoffs last year, he hit it in Portland and the crowd went ABSOLUTELY BERSERK. He averages 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.5 steals.
11: Kevin Durant- KD was the best player and MVP of last year but was sidelined with a foot injury for most of the month. KD is back now and shining after a bad injury, he will continue to become the player he is known as- the best- he will get there this season too. He averages as of now 27.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists.
10: Russell Westbrook- Speaking of KD his teammate Russell Westbrook is out doing him after his post-injury 32 point demolishing game a week ago ( my friend saw that game). Russ is a little bit better than KD right now but they will soon become the good ol' Thunder we know and love in a few weeks. 23.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.8 steals is his stat-line.
9: LaMarcus Aldridge- remember when he had two consecutive 40+ point games last year in the Playoffs? How he was the best player in the first round? You probably remember hearing about it but not actually seeing it, but it was a great performance, one of those performances you see once in a lifetime. That is the Aldridge we are talking about, and he will excel this season too if he keeps getting better with the stats he has right now( 22.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks)
8: James Harden- You better fear the beard because this SG doesn't play around. Harden always goes all-in every game with his teammate Dwight Howard. They have brought hope into Houston again, years after Hakeem and Ralph dominated Texas, the conference, and the NBA. James is explosive and can score well. He averages 25.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.1 blocks as of this post.
7: Kyrie Irving- Kyrie is the best player on the Cavs, but LeBron is still better just because of the presence he brings onto the court, and his reliability. But more on him later, Kyrie is the player you have to love, he respects others, plays well, and likes his team. He has a good stat-line in 22.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.6 steals.
6: LeBron James- As I have mentioned before, Kyrie is playing better right now but King James is still better, his reliability is the second highest, he has a great view on basketball, he takes the blame if he does something wrong. He is still readjusting in Cleveland and we shall see how it will go.
5: Marc Gasol- The Gasol brothers must've met up during a family dinner and said between themselves "I bet i can play better than you in my new uniform" this coming from Pau, Marc adding "yeah but my team will start out amazing..", and the Gasol's got it right. Pau was reborn into a great player for the Bulls. Marc was starting out playing great and his team, the Grizzlies were the best team for the first 2 weeks. Marc is just upgrading his performance as a big man posting 19.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.5 blocks.
4: DeMarcus Cousins is doing great baby! Leading the Kings through it, but a virus caught Boogie and he missed the last 5 games. But when he gets back he will beback to his pre-sick conditions and his remarkable stat line of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.5 blocks. The Kings are bad without him, but that just shows how good he is and how good they will be if they make some changes in roles so every player knows who they are supposed to be.
3: Chris Paul- Chris is doing what he does best, leading the way for the Clippers. He has been especially good posting up 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 9.5 assists, 2.1 steals for his team. The Clips will do good again and Chris is still doing good at what he does. He should smile right now because of the great stats he is producing.
2: Steph Curry- Steph Curry was always very good but this year he is even better hitting 8 3-pointers against the Heat, making right decisions left and right. He also pair up so well with his new coach Steve Kerr, they have similar shooting styles (back when Kerr was on fire with the Bulls in the Jordan era) and they are just a great coach-palyer duo. He is also complementing his teammates such as Draymond Green who scored thiry-something points days ago. Curry has 23.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.9 steals on the board.
1: ANTHONY DAVIS- If you had been watching the NBA at all, this would be no surprise to you because Davis has been freakin' majestic. He had a 40+ point game and is in the top-10 of every major positive stat except assists. He is long and agile, powerful and quick, and has the best unibrow in sports right now. Davis averages 25.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.3 steals, 3.1 blocks right now and it won't be long before fans start to shout "MVP!" on the Pelicans first run into the playoffs.

Highlights Dec. 6
The Warriors beat the Bulls yesterday in a great game. The Bulls managed to get to their goal, control Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, which they successfully accomplished, they didn't account for Draymond Green though, he had 31 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast, 4 stl, 3 blk. Draymond Green was the killer for the Bulls in this game but one Bulls player found a 'Warrior Weakness' - rebounds- Pau Gasol had 20 rebounds and the Warroirs couldn't stop him at all in general. Pau has been reborn into a red and white uniform after leaving the Lakers, he is feeling fresh and is dominating opponents. Pau had 22 pts, 20 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk. Back to the weakness the Warriors have, the Cavs can feed off those rebounds with Kevin Love and Varejao, I can see the Cavs being the team who can beat them. Warriors have their 12th straight victory. Warriors: 112 Bulls: 102.
The Spurs beat the Timberwolves by 22 without Tony Parker or Manu Ginobli which just shows the strength of the bench. Backup Spurs PG Cory Joseph had 18 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, Kawhi Leonard also had 18, he and Joseph being the top 2 players on the Spurs. But it shouldn't be a bad loss for the T'Wolves because insanely athletic rookie Zach LaVine notched 22 pts, 3 reb, 10 ast, 2 stl, showing signs that he isn't just a guy who can throw down some amazing dunks. Wiggins wasn't as good but he must've let LaVine get some looks. Spurs: 123 Timberwolves: 101

SIXERS WIN!
The Philadelphia 76ers have finally won a game, they are now 1-17 because of a win against Minnesota, another pretty awful team. The Sixers won without Tony Wroten, their best player and they won because of Michael Carter-Williams who laid down the line with 20 pts, 9 reb, 9 ast, 3 stl, Covington helped with 17 and Mbah a Moute, McDaniels each scored 12. This is a qhuick highlight post because I am almost 2 days behind and have to write way more.
