13: Jimmy Butler- The Chicago Bulls SG has been the man for Chi-town scoring 21.6 ppg, 5.6 reb, 3.5 ast, 1.4 stl and is on track to be an All-Star this season. He is very god at driving to the basket, either scoring or making the free-throws after a foul, because you can't stop him. He is too fast, strong and athletic. I talk about him a lot so look at my older articles for mor on Jimmy "G." Buckets Butler (the 'G' stands for 'gets').
12: Damian Lillard- D- Lill' is the PG for the Blazers and is a deadly weapon. He is a sturdy, fast guard who can shoot very well. He hit a 3 pointer with 0.3 second left to make it to the second round of the playoffs last year, he hit it in Portland and the crowd went ABSOLUTELY BERSERK. He averages 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.5 steals.
11: Kevin Durant- KD was the best player and MVP of last year but was sidelined with a foot injury for most of the month. KD is back now and shining after a bad injury, he will continue to become the player he is known as- the best- he will get there this season too. He averages as of now 27.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists.
10: Russell Westbrook- Speaking of KD his teammate Russell Westbrook is out doing him after his post-injury 32 point demolishing game a week ago ( my friend saw that game). Russ is a little bit better than KD right now but they will soon become the good ol' Thunder we know and love in a few weeks. 23.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.8 steals is his stat-line.
9: LaMarcus Aldridge- remember when he had two consecutive 40+ point games last year in the Playoffs? How he was the best player in the first round? You probably remember hearing about it but not actually seeing it, but it was a great performance, one of those performances you see once in a lifetime. That is the Aldridge we are talking about, and he will excel this season too if he keeps getting better with the stats he has right now( 22.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks)
8: James Harden- You better fear the beard because this SG doesn't play around. Harden always goes all-in every game with his teammate Dwight Howard. They have brought hope into Houston again, years after Hakeem and Ralph dominated Texas, the conference, and the NBA. James is explosive and can score well. He averages 25.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.1 blocks as of this post.
7: Kyrie Irving- Kyrie is the best player on the Cavs, but LeBron is still better just because of the presence he brings onto the court, and his reliability. But more on him later, Kyrie is the player you have to love, he respects others, plays well, and likes his team. He has a good stat-line in 22.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.6 steals.
6: LeBron James- As I have mentioned before, Kyrie is playing better right now but King James is still better, his reliability is the second highest, he has a great view on basketball, he takes the blame if he does something wrong. He is still readjusting in Cleveland and we shall see how it will go.
5: Marc Gasol- The Gasol brothers must've met up during a family dinner and said between themselves "I bet i can play better than you in my new uniform" this coming from Pau, Marc adding "yeah but my team will start out amazing..", and the Gasol's got it right. Pau was reborn into a great player for the Bulls. Marc was starting out playing great and his team, the Grizzlies were the best team for the first 2 weeks. Marc is just upgrading his performance as a big man posting 19.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.5 blocks.
4: DeMarcus Cousins is doing great baby! Leading the Kings through it, but a virus caught Boogie and he missed the last 5 games. But when he gets back he will beback to his pre-sick conditions and his remarkable stat line of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.5 blocks. The Kings are bad without him, but that just shows how good he is and how good they will be if they make some changes in roles so every player knows who they are supposed to be.
3: Chris Paul- Chris is doing what he does best, leading the way for the Clippers. He has been especially good posting up 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 9.5 assists, 2.1 steals for his team. The Clips will do good again and Chris is still doing good at what he does. He should smile right now because of the great stats he is producing.
2: Steph Curry- Steph Curry was always very good but this year he is even better hitting 8 3-pointers against the Heat, making right decisions left and right. He also pair up so well with his new coach Steve Kerr, they have similar shooting styles (back when Kerr was on fire with the Bulls in the Jordan era) and they are just a great coach-palyer duo. He is also complementing his teammates such as Draymond Green who scored thiry-something points days ago. Curry has 23.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.9 steals on the board.
1: ANTHONY DAVIS- If you had been watching the NBA at all, this would be no surprise to you because Davis has been freakin' majestic. He had a 40+ point game and is in the top-10 of every major positive stat except assists. He is long and agile, powerful and quick, and has the best unibrow in sports right now. Davis averages 25.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.3 steals, 3.1 blocks right now and it won't be long before fans start to shout "MVP!" on the Pelicans first run into the playoffs.
