Bruce Levenson owner of the Hawks will sell his share of the team, citing an
"offensive" email he wrote in 2012, about race, in his abrupt announcement. Unlike donald sterling (supposed to be lowercase read my sterling article) who kept it as a secret to his team and fans, Levenson brought it up himself (unlike sterling), he apologized (unlike sterling) and it wasn't horribly racist (unlike sterling's). "If you're angry about what I wrote, you should be," Levenson continued
in the statement. "I'm angry at myself, too. It was inflammatory
nonsense. We all may have subtle biases and preconceptions when it comes
to race, but my role as a leader is to challenge them, not to validate
or accommodate those who might hold them." . Levenson is also cooperating with Adam Silver, Silver the NBA commish said that "I commend Mr. Levenson for self-reporting to the league office, for
being fully cooperative with the league and its independent
investigator, and for putting the best interests of the Hawks, the
Atlanta community, and the NBA first.". Levenson is doing a good thing and fixing his problems, putting the best interests of the organization first (unlike sterling).
