The ? Trade just happened and this is the trade. The Cavs give Dion Waiters to the Thunder, The Knicks send J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cavs and the Knicks get Alex Kirk, Lou Amundson (Cavs) and Lance Thomas (Thunder). The Thunder also send a FFR (Future First Rounder) to the Knicks. That is the bulk of it. Before you start to think ? I'll explain. Well the Cavs sent out Dion Waiters, who is good but might shoot a little too much, to the Thunder. This launches the Thunder scenario. KD, Russ West, and Reggie Jackson now have one more person that calls ,wants, NEEDS the ball, and he just won't get it as much as he wants to. This might break the Thunder from the usual Russ and KD shot show forcing two way better players to pass to player who is not as good at all. Coach Brooks doesn't even know what he likes about Waiters, he had to say "umm" at least six times before he could think of something, all that came out was that he is tough. Waiters will not become the next James Harden anytime soon. The Cavs are in a mess too, amidst all the struggles that I have talked about in other articles, THEY LOST TO THE 76ERS, THE TEAM WHICH WAS THE EAST FAVORITE LOST TO THE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS, WHAT THE HECK IS COACH BLATT DOING?? They still haven't realized that Iman Shumpert is no longer an elite wing defender like he was before. J.R. Smith is also still J.R. Smith, the overconfident shoot-a-lot guy who stats are significantly lower than in all of his career. Smith can be good though, sometimes having 18+ spurts in games. The Knicks are still awful even with the new acquisitions, time will tell what players they will be getting out of the next few drafts. This was supposed to be a small trade but the teams were already getting attention (the Knicks being horrible, The Cavs being not as good as they should be, and the KD and Russ show in OKC). This is what comes out of the trade in my point of view.
