NBA Finals 2015 Game 1

Game 1 is about to start and the Oracle crowd is rowdy as ever, all yellow in the stadium. This series would end a championship drought for two cities that haven't had one  since before any of the players were born. Either the start of  a legacy, or another ring for the King and Co. Klay Thompson was cleared to play, and Tristan Thompson scores the first point, he didn't know how much of an effect he would have on this game. Notice that Harrison Barnes Started, and Iman Shumpert also did to provide some extra length and defense on the wing. Cleveland starts big and the Warriors don't, so the Cavs quickly get up to a 13 point lead through the first half and end with a ten point lead at the end of the quarter 29-19. The Thompson-Green match-up intrigues me because Thompson is almost 3 inches taller than Green, the Cavs are just so much bigger, which effected the rebound differential in the first half. Kerr later put in more height with Andre Igoudala coming in to guard LeBron James, replacing the less bulky Harrison Barnes. The Height of Cleveland compared to Golden State took a huge toll on the rebounds during the first half, imagine if they had Kevin Love.
A break from the serious. The 'looks older than actually is' Festus Ezeli is in to provide extra height. He should be nicknamed 'Fiesta' Ezeli because 'fiesta' is party in spanish, and Ez' is the life of the party.
Golden State started on fire entering the 2nd quarter on an 8-0 run, a run that would keep it close the whole game, Mo Speights was a big factor adding some shooting, along with some effort, not to mention his great confidence, hitting some jumpers after missing the past 8 games. 6 points in his first 4 minutes. Curry then goes in and hits a trey from the left side, where he is 13/14 in the playoffs, to the game up at 36, a 21-7 Warrior run 4 minutes into the 2nd quarter. LeBrons stays interested though, after being great at hitting those jumpers in the first quarter, which is dangerous for the Warriors, he led all scorers going into Halftime with 19 pts. JR Smith also added 9 points for the Cavs, to extend a 51-48 lead at the half.
The Warriors started the 3rd quarter with some lock-down defense, causing a 24 second violation immediately. Steph Curry then hits a jumper, after crossing the slower Tristan Thompson, he likes to take advantage of the mismatches presented to him. Iman Shumpert also makes the defensive difference throughout the 3rd quarter, causing many turnovers at the wing, his specialty like I've mentioned before. Mozgov is also a great acquisition for the Cavs, he is an aggressive big-man, aand a great rebounder, he also has the rare skill that allows him to hit free-throws, hitting two going into the 4th quarter.
Barnes adds some extra athleticism and effort saving many loose balls. The Cavs were getting to the rim easy to start the 4th quarter. The Warrior bench made all the difference, Speights stretches the floor well, he is the poor mans Kevin Durant, at 6-10 with a smooth jumper. Andre Igoudala helped throughout it, people forget that a player that good is still on the bench, he hit a 3-pointer without a shoe, cutting the Cavs lead to 1. Past all of Mozgov's dunks, Curry shot a jumper to take a 94-93 lead. Eventually LeBron, with 42, tied the game with a 3 pointer to then tie it at 96. At the end, Irving blocked a Curry 'sure-thing' shot, that would give the Cavs another possession, where they almost hit a game-winning shot. They don't and it goes to Over-Time.
In OT the Cavs were ston cold and the Warriors were on Fire, hitting threes and jumpers with confidence. Then Kyrie Irving, with 23 pts, 7 rebs, and 4 stls, hits the floor, and is injured. He would grimace in immense pain as he walked into the locker-room, he would not come back. A Harrison Barnes triple would sear the victory for the Warriors, to extend for a 7 point lead, 105-98. The Cavs haven't hit any shots in OT yet. The Warriors close it out, 108-100, LBJ hitting a go-ahead 2-pointer. The only two points the Cavs would score in that quarter, a 1/16 performance.
The Warriors win, 108-100. That wraps it up....
