In the second quarter it started tied, and without Kyrie Irving's shooting we expected to see more Delly, obviously, but we saw a lot of James Jones who had a total of 8 points and 2 steals in the game, and we saw some Mike Miller, but it was awkward and he was limping all over the place. The Warriors started the 2nd quarter off hot on a 7-0 run in which the Cavs had a lot of sloppy passing. Klay Thompson had 16 points by then and was taking advantage of the matchup against Delly. But Steph Curry was getting pummeled by Delly, and he didn't hit any shots against him near the jumpshot/three-pointer area. LeBron James was already set to have a good game, 17 points with 5:15 left in the second quarter. The Cavs then went on a 12-2 run to take a 37-33 lead in the second quarter, with alittle help from a Mozgov six step travel move. But the Warriors came back with a 'Big Splash' lineup, AKA one extra screen setting big for Curry or Thompson, that helped them pick up to a 1 point deficit at the half, 47-46.
Not that much happened in the 3rd quarter except when LBJ got hit with a hard foul, they had to review it for a flagrant 1, but it was called a normal Playoff foul.
In the Fourth Curry wasn't feeling it at all, an 0-4 performance on threes at that point and 3-16 against Delly. The Warriors then picked it up late, Curry and Klay hitting threes, and then Harrison Barnes gets an open and-1 off of a dunk, and the Cavs were suddenly only up by 2. The Cavs miss on the next play and Curry gets an easy layup. It's tied and the Cavs almost get a shot off, but don't, Overtime again. The first time the first two games in the NBA Finals go into Overtime.
In O.T. the Cavs lead by 3 and then Iggy is allowed a no-call on a clear foul, which even Giannis 'Greek Freak; Antetokounmpo cleared up for us. (HE DELETED THE TWEET I'M PISSED, NO EMBED). The Cavs then proceeded to get a Jump-Ball violation, with a minute left, Warriors ball. It was 92-91 Cavs at that point and David Blatt was fu*king furious, yelling and jumping, at any other point in the game he would've gotten a technical foul. Curry then hit a pair of free-throws, made both, to take a one-point lead, while his daughter Riley Curry was doing yet another incredibly cute thing.
10 seconds later the Warriors accidentally fouled Delly, he sank both FT's to take a 2 point lead with help from a LeBron FT, then Curry could not finish with no timeouts left, he turned the ball over trying to get it to Klay Thompson.
The Cavs won 95-93 to tie the series 1-1. Next game in Cleveland.
