The Rajon Rondo problem

(Warning- This post contains a homophobic slur used as evidence from what a player said)

Rajon Rondo is a PG for the Sacramento Kings, most known for helping the Boston Celtics come together and win their last championship with a team that included Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Brian Scalabrine. Lately and including the past season, Rondo, known for being ill-tempered and bad with coaches, as well as being problematic on the court with his teammates. Rondo has definitely seen better days on and off the court, but nothing he had previously done had attracted much media attention. But now he is about to be in some hot water for using a homophobic slur when confronting a referee in a game against the Boston Celtics. It seems like he was just heated on the play, but apparently the referee that Rondo used the homophobic slur against was homosexual. 2015 was a great year for the LGBT movement, where many famous people came out as who they really were, which made it easier for the youth to come out themselves and not be discouraged because of the previously anti-gay environment. But now in 2015 and it's understandable to see people like that everyday, as well as the hate given to the people who are anything LGBT. But it is indeed a rare occurrence when an NBA player confronts an NBA referee using slurs against them that have to do with their sexual orientation, it totally a line that has not been crossed. But Rondo, out of all players has crossed it, and many are not surprised it is he who crossed it, due to his largely problematic behavior. The referee in the game, Bill Kennedy, an 18-year vet who knows how to ref the game better than he knows the back of his hand, has come out as gay saying “I am proud to be an NBA referee and I am proud to be a gay man" a statement well received by a generally accepting league. This comes 2 weeks after Rondo used the racial slur 'Faggot' against him, which probably discouraged him a little bit, as it could discourage anyone no matter how tough you are, which leads to arising questions on the league and how they receive players that use the slurs against people, as well as players that are too uncooperative in a league that is supposed to be 'Where Amazing Happens'. This problem shall be looked over now, seeming that there is no better example to a problem like this than Rajon Rondo. So I hope the NBA looks over how players can use derogatory language against people and how they act with other players because this (Below) has to stop.
