The Sixers are doing something...weird. They are actually winning some games. At 4-33 its hard not to expect anything but a close loss or a blow out, but the past six games, they are 3-3, a .500 record, which is actually good for the Sixers, who usually after starting out 0-20+ tend to get fed up with tanking that they just start to try harder, and last year it worked, going 18-37 after losing 27 straight, which is way better than what they were doing before. So know its starting to 'click' for them, they can't just tank all season, they actually have fans that want to see at least average basketball. Even though they wouldn't mind losing another season to tanking if it helps them get Ben Simmons or something next Draft. Well the Sixers won against the Timberwolves 109-99, with their new guard Ish Smith, who is the mastermind behind their 3-3 6 game spurt. He scored 21 Pts, 4 Reb, 11 Ast, 3 Stl, and who has been scoring 14.7 ppg and 8.2 ast. Great numbers for a well known journeyman, who tends to drift team to team. Gorgui Dieng made up the most of the game for the Wolves, with 14 Pts, 8 Reb, 1 Ast, 2 Stl, 2 Blk.
76ers 109, T'Wolves 99.
DeMarcus Cousins, well-known for being the prized possession Sacramento has always been holding on to, shined brightly in this game. He played well and got his team into it, although its hard to credit just one player, it takes a certain amount of guts for a team to beat the Thunder, one of the best teams in the League, at home. So they did well, and Boogie lead them with 33 Pts, 19 Reb, 1 Ast, 2 Blk. Sacramento would be one of the most uninteresting teams in the League, but the have Cousins, Rudy Gay, Rondo and the one and only Marco Belinelli, to keep it interesting. The Thunder played 'alright' just enough to keep it close. Serge Ibaka lead them with 25 Pts, 7 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 5 Blk. Russell Westbrook didn't help to score much in relatively quiet game for him wit only 17 points, although he contributed 15 assists. He helped his team out in that category. But the Thunder came out soft in this game, and the should be working hard because there are no excuses when you lose to Sacramento, at home.
Kings 116, Thunder 104.
