3 Overlooked yet Important rap songs from the last 5 years...

Some songs are obviously more influential then others to the genre of rap music, and attribute to the success of many rappers and labels, some of these important songs are looked down upon because of their subject and delivery. People also tend to overlook influential songs, which is ignorant because these songs introduced new sounds to rap music. These are 3 important rap songs that were either overlooked, or looked down upon in the past 5 years.
A playlist with all the songs in order can be found here - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAcHObnKGFSPAIOqcXkrpO-SsR-eJx6mB

'Love Sosa' - Chief Keef
A 16 year old Chief Keef was on house arrest when he and his friends started to make music videos for some songs he was working on. These videos blew up in the Chicago music scene and introduced a whole new subgenre of rap, drill rap. This song was the most popular, and best of these music videos, because of the sound it had. Chief Keef added a driving melody-
 'Bitches love Sosa
O end or No end
Fucking with those O Boys, you gon' get fucked over
Rari's and Rovers
These hoes love Chief Sosa
Hit him with that Cobra, now that boy slumped over
They do it all for Sosa'
But with how catchy and rhythmic this melody was, it was highly criticized for its promotion of guns, violence, and the lack of respect to women. Most people didn't care about this and just summed it up as a 16 year-old having fun with his friends. What made this song influential was the quick hi-hat and synth on the beat, produced by Young Chop. The video was almost as influential as the song, kids started growing out their hair and getting dreads just like Sosa and his gang, and the dance moves caught on.

'Yonkers' - Tyler, The Creator
Arguably the most controversial rap song over the past five years, this raw song complete with a dark and twisted video propelled Tyler, The Creator to hip-hop stardom. The video has Tyler sit on a stool, act like he ate a roach after having it crawl all over his hands, diss Jesus, and Bruno Mars, then promptly hanging himself at the end of the video after saying and portraying many dark topics. He is also the only person to have both rhymed and mentioned the Columbine high school Shooting, the Virgina Tech shooting, and Adventure Time in the same sentence. Aside from the dark lyrics, the song was masterfully produced by Tyler, and his album and mixtape quickly got attention from artists like Kanye West, Pharrell, and Jay Z. Over the next few years he was the leader of the hit rap group Odd Future, in a successful duo with EarlWolf, and a successful solo artist with 4 albums, 2 clothing lines, his own designer shoes, a record label, and his own festival all under his belt before he turned 25. All of this started with this viral video.

 'Hot N*gga' - Bobby Shmurda
Arguably the most popular rap song of 2014, a young Bobby Shmurda released this viral hit and coined it with the melodic phrase 'About a week ago'. An everyday phrase which now whenever mentioned is sang like Shmurda sang it in the song. This song is accompanied by a driving beat with a police siren in the background. This song went crazy and was all over social media and in the lives of teenagers. Unfortunately for Shmurda, this fame brought him great trouble. Shmurda was arrested for multiple offenses including conspiracy to commit murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment. He is imprisoned awaiting his trial and it is not looking good. A fellow member of his gang GS9 recently got 98 years for similar offenses, and another member got 53 years in prison yesterday. Although we won't hear any new music from Shmurda for QUITE a while, we will still rap the phrase he made famous, and his viral dancing will never be forgotten.
