I´m admittedly a few days late on the new mixtape ´Project E.T.by DJ Esco hosted by Future. This is the second mixtape Esco dropped which has been hosted by Future, the last one named ´56 Nights´ which I enjoyed a lot, it had great tracks like ´Never Gon Lose´, ´Purple Comin In´and ´56 Nights´. This mixtape starts off with a great track ´Check On Me´which introduces the spacy vibe that would be carried on throughout the album. The beat is wavy with vinyl scratches and hi hat, where Future raps fast at first then raps melodically, then goes fast again. This creates the motif of the song, which is simple but compelling enough to intoduce you to the mixtape. DJ Esco always has songs with this type of production, just a bit druggy with quick percussion, ít was on ´56 Nights´. ´Right Now´is right after that song and is just like old Future with a druggy beat and melodic rapping through his thick Atlanta accent.
The most popular song so far on the album is ´100it Racks´ ft. Future, 2 Chainz, and Drake, which has over a million hits on SoundCloud. Drake has the first verse, which is just like normal Drake, easy rapping with a lame rhyme scheme Rapper/Matter/Flatter/Matter again. Which continues until he starts singing in between the bars. Future then carries the song with his hook ´Hunnid racks bussin outta wrapper´. 2 Chainz then pulls off a decent verse which gets interesting towards the end when he picks up some sort of insane personality. The song ends after a few hooks and a Future verse. People probably only like it because Drake is in it, or maybe they don´t it´s just the amount of hits it has is larger because Drake´s fans are all over it. The instrumental is interesting with an old videogame theme going on. In fact if we look at the soundtrack from the original Pokémon games (Red, Green etc.) and choose the Lavender Town theme song (all towns in the game have different soundtracks) speed it up to 1.25 speed and it sounds significantly similar to the beat used in this song. This is kinda interesting and I am waiting for someone else to catch it.
After a mediocre start to the album, the song ´Too Much Sauce´comes on which features Future and Philadeplhia rapper as well as 2016 XXL Freshman Lil Uzi Vert. The instrumental is marvelously produced by Zaytoven and Esco with some catchy percussion and elegant piano. Future´s verse is decent with the line ´Too Much Sauce´ being carried through the track describing the riches and the goods the rappers have. Uzi´s verse is good, which is a 50-50 chance with the rapper because he´s either very good or not good. Then ´Who´comes on which features an extremely unthinkable collab with rival rappers Future and Young Thug. They had beef because both were being called the king of Atlanta, and they both were set to drop their albums on the same day. Thug tweeted at Future ´Boy slow down dropping all that BS music...´ to which Future replied ´Ýo Bitch wish you was me...in real life´. Then Future announced he had a new deal with Apple music and Thug replied that he hoped Apple would save you ´lil niggas´, even though Future is 8 years older than Thug. Now comes the collab no one thought would happen, produced by Metro Boomin, the popular producer who is friends with both artists. The song is pretty good with both of Thug´s verses being fun and smooth. I also like that it ends abruptly.
It should be said that after ´Too Much Sauce´there are 8 straight good songs, including ´Who´, ´Party Pack´ft. Rae Sremmurd, ´Married to the Game´ which may be the best produced song, ´Champagne Shower´ft. Rich Homie Quan, and ´Benjamins Burn´. But the highlight of the whole mixtape isn´t even a song hosted by Future, but a song featuring Casey Veggies and Nef The Pharaoh. ´Stupidly Crazy´starts off with a great sample through a superbly produced dance beat. Casey Veggies kills it with a verse that fits perfectly with the already happy beat. Then Nef The Pharaoh pulls off a great chorus as well as a fun verse. The song is catchy and fun to listen to. It´s also 4 minutes long so you can enjoy the mood it sets. It´s so far one of the best songs I´ve heard this year.
The album is fun near the end and it perfectly encaptures Future´s rap style, as well as the styles of some newcomers. Pretty good album. 7.5/10
BEST TRACK - Stupidly Crazy.
GOOD TRACKS - Check on Me, My Blower, Too Much Sauce, Who, Party Pack, Champagne Shower, Benjamins Burn.

NBA Draft Special Pt.2
Blogger f*cked me, I couldn't post the whole thing.
Denzel Valentine-
The Bulls got the steal of a
life-time. Thank God.
Guerschon Yabursele-
Meet the new Giannis Antetokounmpo
of the NBA, name-wise and height-wise. No one had any idea the Celtics would
draft him, but the Celtics are in the best position you could be in, they are
doing well without a big name player, and once they get one they will do even
better. Hooray for Guerschon Yabursele's new team!
