D-Rose was in a game that would make him the first of 3 straight Playoff buzzer-beaters. He hit a lucky bank-shot from near the half court line. It was mostly luck, but it gave us the win. The next game would be very problematic though, it would be one of the worst called games in NBA history. But that's for the next few paragraphs.
Truth-
With John Wall out with fractures in his hand, the Wizards had to depend on the old, washed up, mean, unhappy, ugly, gremlin that is Paul Pierce. He is a horrible person but the Wiz are an annoying team. Filled with players that get into fights when they are not that good. Pierce had the ball, he saw how the Hawks came back from a 15+ point deficit to get the tie going into the closing seconds of the game, but he also saw the way the Hawks were playing defense. Paul Pierce's nickname is 'Truth' if you did not know, that's why I named this segment after him. Truth then proceeded to go hit the game-winner. The Wiz are playing good in the playoffs so they are on eof those teams who rest up then peak when it matters. The Hawks are the exact opposite. They were really good in the regular season, the best in the regular season, then boom, they spontaneously combusted into a worse team who almost lost to the Brooklyn Nets. The 38-44 Nets heading into the Playoffs. No excuses.
Cheated- Back to the Cavs and the Bulls. The Refs totally cheated the Bulls out of a win. First of all, the whole game was called by people with my poor eyesight, or Helen Keller's sons, they were calling bad the whole game, not giving the Bulls any fouls in the first half, at all, they were not seeing blatant travels or anything like that. In the second half they weren't giving the Cavs any calls, even the very obvious fouls under the basket. Then, out of nowhere, they started giving the Bulls everything in the last 5-2 minutes. Giving LeBron fouls and not noticing any fouls on the now liming Cavs players. In the last 2 minutes they gave everything to the Cavs, first the BUlls were playing good defense causing the Cavs to use their LAST 3 timeouts on ONE inbounds play. The dunce that is David Blatt was asking FOR ANOTHER TIMEOUT but, of course, the refs didn't notice anything at all. If you didn't know that calling for a timeout when you don't have any results in a technical foul, or free points for the other team. Kinda like what cost the Michigan Fab Five a potential championship when Chris Webber called for a timeout when there were not any. Maybe the refs did see it, but decided not to call it, to give the game to LeBron and the Cavs. But that's not the end of it, the highly disputed replay rule. When the ball went out in the last 1.5 second of the game it was tied, the decided to replay it, which gives the teams a free timeout, when they DO NOT HAVE ANY. This basically gave the chance to run Blatt's final game-winning play. LeBron got the ball when Jimmy Butler glanced just one atom's length to the left, giving LeBron an open jumper. But it wasn't Blatt's play, LeBron said he scrapped it in the Post-Game interviews, Kyrie Irving also did not look happy after hearing Blatt's name. Tristan Thompson also started laughing when LeBron talked about his own coach's play. I don't like Blatt. Blatt will not be in Cleveland next year. Or in the NBA.
