There was an exciting night in Minnesota yesterday as the Bulls took on the Timberwolves. At first I just started to watch it because there are only like 30 something Bulls games that will be broadcasted on our channels, which is okay, but I have need to see every game I can. Then I remembered that they acquired Wiggins and Bennett in the Love trade with the Cavs. I was immediately immersed and watched the game completely. At first the Bulls were plowing through, but then the Wolves started to catch up behind a jumper and a three-pointer from last year's number 1 pick (and one of the biggest draft busts the league has seen) Anthony Bennett. The Bulls then resorted to Pau Gasol, who Bennett cannot guard and he started to get many layups and short jumpers. Ricky Rubio was a mess, he is too concentrated on getting steals, that's all that's going in his mind, in fact he frequently leaves his man to get a steal, and the Bulls usually got an open jump shot because of that. Rubio is also too crazy, he is undisciplined (if you look up undisciplined in the dictionary you would see a picture of Rubio) and Flip Saunders cannot reach to the kid, he is too young and makes too many silly decisions. They should make Mo Williams the full-time guard, he is smart and can make plays and they should also send Rubio to the D-League, he will learn more there. Wiggins also made a few athletic plays but in the end he caused the T-Wolves to lose. Wiggins fouled an on-fire Jimmy Butler, someone who gets many points on the free-throw line, with .2 seconds left in the 4th quarter, a rookie mistake, and Butler sank the two free-throws each of which as they flew through the basket made a clutch sound as they hit the net. Bulls: 106, Wolves: 105. The Raptors played against the Magic too, in a pretty exciting game in which you got to see the Raptors at their best, unleashing the 3-headed dragon of DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry, and Terrence Ross. DeRozan led the way though in a somewhat easy win with 26 pts, 8 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, hopefully the Raptors keep excelling and use their bench more than they did last year in which they ranked 17th in the overall bench production (according to hoopsstats.com's bench stats of last season.). If the Raptors do the Popovich method, breed a well balanced bench, they will go even farther in the playoffs. Raptors: 108 Magic: 95. The rest of the scores are here.
